Art Collaborations: Hugo Boss and COS, London

Earlier this year we were spoilt with the visual feast displayed at Hermes exhibition in London, it seems that any forward thinking fashion brand is now collaborating on many levels to promote their brand and a way of life outside the retail platform. Catch the last few weeks of COS collaboration with Serpentine Summer Gallery Pavillion in Hyde Park, London where this fashion retailer has teamed up with Park Nights talks and events, also view Japanese artist Sou Fujimoto's amazing park sculpture http://www.serpentinegallery.org/index.html Hugo Boss brings the latest offering at Saatchi Gallery until 1st September to celebrate 20 years of design, they have brought together 20 artists work from a range of innovate, creative and unconventional backgrounds http://www.redneverfollows.com/

Books: Hugo Boss, Diptyque & Tommy Hilfiger

Across London town right now there's a big visual merchandising trend for recycled props, and in particular 'books'. Hugo Boss and Tommy have both created arc's within their fashion schemes. We absolutely love the very popular technique of dip-dye from Tommy, Diptyque has delicately presented book pages to reflect the nature of the product and scent.

Distortion: Harvey Nichols, London

Clever use of distortion and perspective has been executed in the Sloane Street windows of Harvey Nichols; the creative team have certainly been playful with a quirky approach to recycling and up-cycling everyday furniture and household objects. As usual the high level of detail in Harvey Nichols schemes are fully explored, even the graphic typeface in vinyl has been delivered to compliment the 'cut up' style of the visual merchandising, along with the ambiguity of the mannequin body parts.

Rose Tones: Dior & Alberta Ferretti, London

Striking reds, dazzling pinks and soft flesh hues are taking over our London windows at the moment, tapping into the much anticipated 'pink' colour trend which is going to be highlighted in stores AW13. A feminine and flattering palette...we especially love the block shapes at Dior with the painted expressionist style backdrop creating an imaginary surreal environment; and also the mannequins dressed in different shades of rose positioned against tinted acrylic panels at Alberta Ferretti.

Painted Mannequin Installation: SFD Showroom, London

Following the successful launch of their new mannequin ranges, SFD have launched a brand new window display in their London showroom (theSPACE) themed on the art of retail. “Window Displays can be very static in their nature, we wanted to showcase our creative thinking and create a real show stopper, whilst also highlighting our key services to clients” Andi Grant - Creative Director. Featuring four white mannequins coloured ink slowly drips from a paint can suspended above, to create unpredictable and dramatic results. Over the next few weeks the Design team at SFD will be refilling the paint tins on a regular basis to slowly build up multiple layers of paint, resulting in four uniquely finished mannequins.
